Brett Favre, Throwing pics sexting chicks
The most recent off field scandal in the NFL includes stories of how Brett Favre allegedly was texting New York Jets sideline reporter Jennifer Sterger dirty pictures. This happened back in 2008 when Favre was quarterback of the New York Jets. The story has not been covered at all on ESPN leading many to think it is not true, however many online sources suggest it did happen. Favre supposedly sent her some very inappropriate pictures of himself. Why the story is just escalating now i have no idea, figuring this happen 2 years ago. Favre has really struggled with the Vikings so far this year, already having thrown as many interceptions as he did all of last season. Favre who is all ready struggling will now have to deal with the distraction of this story. Favre was asked about it the other day while in an interview and he told the reporter he wasn't going to comment on it. NFL commisioner Roger Goodell is getting an official to investigate the case more thoroughly.

Chapter 14
Chapter 14 will really help me for when i have to interview someone for the upcoming project. I don't know exactly who i am gonna interview yet but i certainly will need some tips when it comes to the interview process. I want to ask them questions that they will definitely be comfortable answering. If there are questions that may be harder for them to answer i will make sure i save them for the end. I don't want to start off making them feel uncomfortable. This chapter taught me how being prepared before the interview starts is vital. If you don't know what to say before hand you might miss out on questions you wish you had asked. It is also important to make sure that the people you interview are good sources. You obviously don't want to interview people with no credible background on your subject. Another main point i got out of chapter 14 is that when interviewing you need to make sure you hear them correctly. If you mishear one thing, it can really mess up your story. So always be alert, and listen carefully.
Liverpool FC bought
English soccer club Liverpool was finally bought a few days ago by the same owners as the Boston Red Sox. Tom Hicks and George Gillett both agreed to be co-chairman of the club. Liverpool was under no ownership since the start of the season in mid August. They have been struggling throughout the beginning of the season and hopefully this will be the decision that turns their season around. They need a spark and some new players. Hicks and Gillett will try to provide the spark they need. Liverpool is currently in alot of debt, and new rich owners to get out of their financial crisis. With Hicks and Gillett they got exactly what they were looking for. Hopefully these two men can quickly get liverpool back on track before it is too late. They won a world series for the Red Sox after just two years of ownership so Liverpool is certainly looking for those same results.
Roy Hodgson, Liverpools current coach finds himself in a sticky situation where his contract was set to expire when new ownership took over. Hodgson started coaching Liverpool this season after taking over for recently fired head coach Rafa Benitez. Hodgson so far has struggled as Liverpool is only 1-3-3 to start the season. There worst start in the last ten years. He is hoping that the new owners will continue to let him coach and turn things around for his new soccer club.

Underground tunnels at BSU
The other night one of my friends told me that there are underground tunnels here at BSU that connect Woodward, Tilly, and Boyden hall. This really fascinated me and i did not believe him at first but i looked it up and found that it is in fact true.I thought this was really cool information, and wondered why they closed them up and why they were there in the first place. From what my friend told me, the tunnels were put there because it used to be an all girls school and the girls had a hard time navigating to class in their dresses through the snow and bad weather. So the tunnels were put there to make it easier for them to walk to classes. The tunnels got shut down about 30-40 years ago because someone started a fire in there. After that they disallowed students to walk through them. As of now the doors to the tunnels are in the basements of all the buildings and are sealed shut. Its believed that the entrance to the tunnel in Tilly is in the back of the mail room.
There was also a rumor that a student made a bet with the president of the University a few years ago, that if he graduated with a 4.0 he could walk the tunnels. However the student got a 3.9 so the president won the bet.

Excited for Halloween
I usually never get excited for Halloween, and usually never really dress up. I mainly think of Halloween as a reason to have a party and have girls dress up in basically nothing. Halloween was over for me when you got judged for trick or treating because you were too old. No one wants a 20 year old showing up at their door asking for candy, its just weird. This Halloween is going to be awesome though. I finally found a great costume, and a great party to be at. Me and my friends made fake go carts out of cardboard boxes and there is around 8 of us dressing up as Mario characters and going out pretending to be racing in Mario Kart. I could not be more pumped to throw banana peels at people and be a complete ass running through parties impersonating a Mario kart race.
Halloween is no longer about the candy, its all about what you make of it. If you can find a good costume and somewhere fun to go it can be a blast. I spent a total of 5 dollars on my costume as well, so that's another thing i am happy about. Creativity is key when it comes to Halloween. It can really save you some serious cash.

Things i hate about BSU
BSU is a good school and as much as i love it i also hate it. Living on campus can be alot of fun, but there are some things this school does that makes it pretty awful at times. Lets start with ECC. ECC is a dining hall located on the east side of campus, that is if you can even call it a dining hall. Id say a good 70% of the time i walk out from ECC carrying cereal or some pizza, because that is the only food i can trust there. The food is usually nasty, and left out for way to long. Some of the people who work there are really rude, while some are actually really nice. Then once you pick your 'food' you sit down to realize there's ten flies swarming around your table. Then next thing that grinds my gears at BSU is the availability of the gyms. In the winter i love playing sports and when the ground is covered in snow im forced by nature to go inside. The only problem with that is the Kelly and Tinsley gym are always booked with sports teams or clubs. It is almost impossible to find the gym empty and usable. Not to mention that the maintenance guy at the Kelly gym is also a pretty mean guy who hates people who play soccer. The last thing ill talk about that i hate about BSU is the lack of student parking. Last year when i lived on the west side of campus there was barely any parking for students. Unless it was the weekend you were forced into a 10-15 minute walk just to get back to your dorm room. The college should seriously consider expanding the harrington parking lot so that its not all faculty parking. That was last year though, and now i live in miles hall with a parking lot right across the street, that i still cant park in. This parking lot does not even come close to filling either which makes me think maybe the school should recognize this and make more student parking. These are just a few out of many complaints i have about BSU.

Who even likes soccer?
Soccer is the most watched sport in the world. It is also viewed as one of the most boring sports in the eyes of most people in the United States. If you go to almost any country outside the United States you would quickly learn that soccer is truly loved by other people. In the U.S soccer as seen as boring and low scoring, where as football is extremely exciting. Now i am not biased because i love football and soccer, but soccer certainly gets a bad reputation for being boring when it can be the most beautiful game to watch if you sit down and appreciate it. When you sit down to watch a 3 hour televised football game you are watching over an hour of commercials, and people standing in a circle around the ball. While watching a football game you are watching around 13 minutes of live action playing. Its completely ridiculous to think when the t.v time is estimated at 3 hours per game. On the flip side when you are watching soccer you are watching 90 full minutes of people playing. No T.V timeouts, no huddles, its pure playing. If you can appreciate the subtleties in soccer you can be amazed watching the things these athletes do for the 90 minutes they play.
